    Tivoli Gardens Tickets

    Individual tickets

Individual tickets are the most common way to experience Tivoli Gardens, and there are three different types of tickets:

    • Entrance ticket: grants entrance to the park, but does not include the rides
    • Ride Pass: grants access to the rides, except some of the seasonal ones
    • Entrance and Ride Pass: combo ticket that lets you visit the park and go on the rides (except some of the seasonal ones)

More detailed info are available on our Tivoli Gardens ticket price page.

    Reduced tickets

For the Entrance ticket and the Entrance and Ride Pass children under 3 enter for free, and children between 3 and 7 are entitled to a reduced price. The Ride Pass, however, is only free for children under 1 year, and children between 1 and 7 are entitled to a discount.

    Tivoli Pass

The Tivoli Pass is a yearly pass that lets you visit the park and rides for free anytime you want and it includes free entry for 2 children between 3 and 7 at its basic rate, as well as discounted parking. There are several tiers available, with different benefits, that can be found more in detail in our Tivoli Pass page.

    Parking

Parking for the Tivoli Gardens can be pre-booked on the official website with a small discount, and you can get a greater discount with the yearly Tivoli Pass (an extra 10%). 6 hours of pre-booked parking cost 226 DKK (approx. 30€), whereas 12 hours will cost 279 DKK (approx. 37€) and it stays the same up to 24 hours.

    Garden Admission Only

This is the simplest option: admission grants access to Tivoli Gardens, its gardens, shops, and events, but not the rides. Standard admission starts at 170 DKK (~23 €) for visitors aged 8 and up. Children aged 3‑7 pay 85 DKK (~11 €), while those under 3 enter for free. These tickets allow full access to seasonal programs and ambiance without ride access.

    Unlimited Rides Pass

If you’re mainly interested in attractions, you can buy a rides pass that covers unlimited access to all rides for the day—but note that this pass does not include park entry. Prices for this pass start at 189 DKK (~25 €) per person, and it’s more economical if you plan to experience multiple rides. Children between 1 and 7 years pay a reduced price of 94 DKK (~13 €).

    Combined Entrance and Rides Pass

For the best value if you want both garden access and ride access, the combined ticket bundles both for a reduced overall price. The combo deal costs 359 DKK (~48 €) for adults and 179 DKK (~24 €)for children between 3 and 7.

    Rutschebanen

Rutschebanen is one of Tivoli’s most iconic rides and a piece of living amusement park history. Built in 1914, it’s among the oldest wooden roller coasters still operating today. What sets Rutschebanen apart is its brakeman—a person who rides along in the train to manually control the speed, a rare feature in modern roller coasters. The ride offers a surprisingly smooth but thrilling journey through artificial mountains and tunnels, blending nostalgia with classic amusement park fun.

    The Demon

The Demon brings a sharp contrast to the park’s vintage charm with its high-speed, steel roller coaster experience. This floorless ride features three inversions, including a vertical loop, a cobra roll, and a zero-gravity roll, all packed into just under a minute of intense motion. Riders can also opt for a virtual reality headset, which adds a digital layer to the experience, syncing visuals with the coaster’s movements for a more immersive thrill.

    Star Flyer (Himmelskibet)

Star Flyer (Himmelskibet) offers a different kind of exhilaration—soaring views rather than speed. This towering swing ride lifts passengers 80 meters into the air, gently rotating to reveal panoramic views of Copenhagen’s skyline. It’s one of the tallest of its kind in the world and provides a calm, almost meditative experience that contrasts nicely with the park’s more intense rides, especially at sunset or after dark when the city lights come into view.
